BioAnalyt was founded in 1999 by Prof Dr F.J. Schweigert as a spin-off from the University of Potsdam,
providing analytical services. During a study in Laos it quickly became apparent that the true challenge
did not lie in the analysis, but in getting the samples from Laos to Potsdam, Germany.
The need for shortening the distance between sample and analysis sparked the idea of bringing the lab
to the sample. Thus began the development of the first portable lab in 2006. In 2017, the team reached
the size of 20, with customers in over 80 countries.

iCHECK CHROMA 3
iCheck Chroma 3 is a portable photometer for the quantitative determination of vitamin A
in refined edible oils.
iCheck consists of 2 parts: a ready-to-use reagent vial and a device. The sample is injected into
the reagent vial where a reaction with vitamin A takes place. The vial is inserted into the device
that measures concentration of vitamin A in the vial.
iCheck Chroma 3 measures vitamin A quantitatively and displays the results in mg RE/kg.
iCheck devices come in a portable case with all necessary accessories.
iCheck and iCheck Chroma 3 reagent vials are produced according to quality management system
(DIN EN ISO 9001:2015) certified by TÜV Nord in Germany. We guarantee that each vial contains

iCHECK IODINE
iCheck Iodine is a portable photometer for the quantitative determination of iodine in salt.
iCheck consists of 2 parts: a ready-to-use reagent vial and a device. The sample is injected into
the reagent vial where a reaction with iodine takes place. The vial is inserted into the device that
measures concentration of Iodine in the vial.
iCheck Iodine quantitatively measures potassium iodate specific color reaction between the salt
and the reagents in the test vials, and displays the results in mg/L. iCheck devices come in a portable
case with all necessary accessories.
iCheck reagent vials contain a patented mixture of reagents. They come in a box (Test Kit) sufficient
for 100 analyses. The reagent’s shelf-life is 12 months at room temperature.
iCHECK IRON
iCheck Iron is a portable photometer for the quantitative determination of iron in foods.
iCheck Iron measures quantitatively the iron specific color reaction between the iron in the
food and the reagents in the vials. The device displays the results of the iron content in mg/L.
iCheck devices come in a portable case with all necessary accessories.
iCheck and iCheck Iron reagent vials are produced according to quality management system
(DIN EN ISO 9001:2015) certified by TÜV Nord in Germany.
